Oi. You're not having fun are you? A bug on top of continuous labor? So sorry.
The good news is that this baby stuck it out for the long haul. You were able to keep him "home" for as long as you did and he's so lucky for it.
Meggan (the other friend who was on bedrest and in the hospital for the past 5-6 weeks) was forced to have her baby Thursday at 34 weeks. The baby is well, but in NICU for a bit. Get this - he's in NICU with FOURTY FIVE other babies. That's alot of babies! And he's the healthy guy at 5 lbs 9 oz. Thank goodness you managed to avoid that.
So you and mr. mini jim will be home before you know it. Perhaps you're already delivering... :)
Oh Gosh Wendy, I couldn't agree with you more. I'm incredibly grateful to have avoided NICU and the experience of Meggan... that's SO hard. We've been blessed with a solid second chance for this guy after our big scare at 26 weeks. I couldn't be more thankful he's grown and developed full term. 45 babies is crazy! I needed a little reality check, thanks. Jim came down with the nasty bug yesterday and is still battling it. He always seems to get it the worst. Let's hope daddy can get well soon!!
